To overcome these drawbacks, recent research on PADs has focused on improving detection signal and modifying paper geometry. For example, various detection labels [nanoparticles (NPs), carbon nanotube, quantum dots, fluorescent dyes, etc.] and amplification methods (enzymatic reaction and metallic precipitation) have been used to improve detection signal and sensitivity10,11,12,13. However, these do not meet the growing demand in sensitivity, and require multiple amplification steps (successive addition of reagents and washing) for optical or electrochemical detection. On the other hand, PADs with different types of geometry [three-dimensional (3D), folding, and slip, etc.] have been developed to manipulate fluidic flow and to retain operational simplicity14,15,16,17,18,19,20. A 1D lateral flow can be extended to 3D flow by assembling papers with hydrophilic/hydrophobic channels, which enables the control of liquid flow in a 3D fluidic network. Nonetheless, developing a one-step device that affords sequential delivery of multiple fluids for detection in a single step remains a challenge.

To this end, we developed a novel one-step 3D slip-PAD for simple, sensitive, and inexpensive detection of human noroviruses. A 3D fluidic network developed by layered construction of wax-patterned papers provided the difference in fluidic paths for the sequential delivery of multiple fluids without peripheral equipment. The integration of multiple reagents for signal amplification enhanced sensitivity and improved the limit of detection (LOD). Moreover, the manually movable slip design of the 3D slip-PAD enabled the one-step assay without any additional manipulation, making it more accessible to an unskilled user and therefore more suitable for resource-limited settings.

We said we'd walk together, baby, come what mayThat come the twilight should we lose our wayIf as we're walking a hand should slip freeI'll wait for you, should I fall behind wait for meWe swore we'd travel, darling, side by sideWe'd help each other stay in strideBut each lover's steps fall so differentlyBut I'll wait for you, and if I should fall behind wait for meNow everyone dreams of love lasting and trueOh but you and I know what this world can doSo let's make our steps clear that the other may seeAnd I'll wait for you, and if I should fall behind wait for meNow there's a beautiful river in the valley aheadThere 'neath the oak's bough soon we will be wedShould we lose each other in the shadow of the evening treesI'll wait for you, should I fall behind wait for meDarling, I'll wait for you, and should I fall behind wait for meYeah I'll wait for you, and should I fall behind wait for meI'll wait for you, should I fall behind wait for meI'll wait for you, should I fall [fades out]

Music cuts out in tunnels or in rural areas, while marathon streaming sessions eat into mobile data. To avoid interruption, download your favorite songs (and podcasts) for offline listening. Whether you're using Spotify or Apple Music ($9.99 Per Month at Apple Music)(Opens in a new window) , Tidal or Google Play Music, here's how to take your playlists with you.

Spotify lets Premium users download up to 10,000 songs per device on up to five devices. To prevent you from downloading songs and then cancelling your Premium account, you'll need to reconnect your app to the internet at least once every 30 days.

With an Apple Music subscription, which costs $9.99 per month for access to 50 million songs, you can download content(Opens in a new window) on up to 10 devices. It will be available as long as you maintain an active subscription. If you plan on using Apple Music on more than one device, you should start by turning on iCloud Music Library(Opens in a new window) so your content is accessible from all of them. Then add songs, albums, videos, and playlists to Apple Music by tapping the Plus sign or the Add button next to each.

Supporting acts for the tour include Deerhunter, Crystal Castles, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Ghostland Observatory, A Place to Bury Strangers, and White Williams. On June 5, a tour EP titled Lights in the Sky: Over North America 2008 Tour Sampler was released for free on the Nine Inch Nails website featuring four songs from the supporting artists, as well as Nine Inch Nails' "Echoplex".[27] The files are DRM-free MP3s that are fully tagged, and included with the download are desktop wallpapers and a printable tour poster.

Hi,Is there a way to allow for people to download my freebie as many times as they wish?It looks like subscribers can only receive my Ebook when they submit their emails for the first time. Thanks,

Its me again. Upon further digging, the free version of mailchimp appears to allow for a welcome email to be sent to new list signups. This could be a workaround and I hope to be able to use this to include a link to a hidden page on my website where email subscribers can download my freebie there. Thanks again!

Hi GretchenGreat idea to use MailChimp to automatically offer a free download when they are signing up for a newsmail. I have really bin struggling to get people to sign up to my newsmail. Thanks for the tip. Very inspiring.

Hi there! Very well explained! I am still very confused about giving a freebie to my existing subscribers. How come I have never been asked to update my preferences when downloading a whole bunch of freebies from people like Jenna Kutcher, Beth Kirby, and Amy Porterfield? Because they use other services? Obviously, ha? ? I hope that is it and I will make it as well with my free mailchimp version. ?

Thanks for much for this, I have done all your steps for upload the link to my Meditation mp3 file. I have tested it as a new subscriber but I cant seem to see how they would then be able to download the mp3 file rather than it just being on a web page.

I rummaged through all the comments to see if there was a way to avoid putting re-subscribers through the hassle of updating preferences, which I have found confuses them. and would like to share my solution after many hours of brain-bulging!. This applies to a specific campaign when a free book download is offered to all subscribers and is also shared on social media in the hope of gaining new subscribers. I targeted the email campaign to my main list, linked this to a landing page with the sign-up form. The sign-up form triggered an automatic welcome email, as you suggested, but this must be linked to a NEW list created for this specific purpose and must have the download file in it. In this way, everyone receives their book easily. Later, when the campaign is over, it is easy to send the contacts on the NEW list to your main list, and any duplicates are automatically updated. I hope this helps.

1) I already have some subscribers on my list (in my case, applications for a book launch, via Form #1), and I also want them to be able to receive the bonus content after the launch (a free audio book, via Form #2). I could just send out a separate mailing to all current subscribers, as pointed out here, in which case they would sidestep Form #2 altogether. But not all book launch guests will want the free audio book. Is there a way to have those who do want the audio book re-submit their info in Form #2, and then update their registration using MailChip groups or segments?

Hi,Thanks so much for this article. I had been searching online for a straight forward explanation for this and was so confused until I found this site. Just two questions. So after following this steps is it correct to say that right now new subscribers (whether it is through this opt in or my Facebook sign up button or my newsletter sign up button on the sidebar) will be able to download my free printable?

Hello,When I add my PDF to MailChimp, it shows up in the confirm subscription email and the confirmation page. How do I keep it from showing up in the confirm subscription page? If it continues to show up, my readers will be able to get my free download without having to actually sign up. ?

Hello Gretchen, thankyou for sharing the sep by step instructions. I followed your steps, but in the final welcome mail a link to the audio file is displayed. When I click on the link the file just opens and unable to download it.

Gotcha. I subscribed to your site so I could go through the process firsthand. I see that the file link is at MailChimp, not my website. Next question: any tips for encouraging my existing subscribers to share the free download offer? They are the easiest people for me to reach, especially since FB hides everything. 2ff7e9595c
